Today, the number of children with limited physical and psychological abilities has increased greatly in Ukraine. We call them "Special People". They are not special because society seeks to separate them into a separate group of people, separating them from others. No! And because we want them to feel their individuality and completeness even with limited opportunities. All people are equal and play their unique role! After all, as we all know that just as there is a score for each instrument in an orchestra, so for each person on Earth there is an irreplaceable place.

When "special" children grow up, they are not always able to do the work we are used to. However, this does not mean that they should do nothing at all, because each of us can serve for the benefit of humanity. Therefore, our organization really wants to help people with disabilities find their place in life.

Unfortunately, in Ukraine, as in most post-Soviet countries, there are no proper conditions for the organization of social adaptation of special children who have reached adulthood. In most cases, after finishing school, special boys and girls do not have the opportunity to realize themselves in later life. In this case, they remain sitting in apartments, content with a small state financial care. And their creative potential remains unrealized. According to the social survey, as many as 80% of such youth graduate from educational institutions and only 20% get a job. As we can see, a rather small percentage of "special" people manage to realize themselves.

It is important to understand that if this problem is not solved, these "special" people may close forever and be lost to society. Already from a young age, fear, hopelessness and, perhaps, hatred for themselves, their friends, friends and the whole world will grow in their souls. Our mission is to prevent this from happening!

Reflections on this topic inspired us to create the "City of Professions for Special People" program.

Program goals:

  • acquaintance of Ukrainians with the problems of "special" people;
  • creation of full-fledged jobs for people with disabilities, as well as assistance in opening business activities in accordance with the professional skills and abilities of such people;
  • attraction of financial support for educational trainings, courses, seminars, advanced training courses for people with physical and psychological disabilities;
  • attraction of domestic and foreign patrons, benefactors to support this program;
  • borrowing the experience of other countries in the social adaptation of special people and applying it in practice in Ukraine;
  • attracting the attention of entrepreneurs of Ukraine and other countries to the problem of adapted employment of special people;
  • interaction with state structures in the direct implementation of this program.

The purpose of the program: creation of full-fledged jobs for people with disabilities, as well as assistance in opening entrepreneurial activities in accordance with the professional skills and abilities of such people.

In order to implement this project, it is necessary to have a large amount of resources. Currently, a number of organizations have joined the "City of Professions for Special People", which are united by a common desire to help those who, given their special situation, are unable to adapt to life in society on their own. If you also want to join us - we will be extremely happy for you!

The initiative has been temporarily suspended due to the war.
All the funds raised will go to humanitarian aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and people affected by military aggression!

As part of the "City of Professions for Special People" program, it was developed direction "Pottery".

Pottery is a generally recognized and effective form of art therapy. Working with clay is a philosophy, because clay has the power of the earth, which you take over just by touching it with your fingers. Also, working with this natural material is useful from a physiological point of view. After all, there are many receptors in the palms of a person that are connected to the areas of the cerebral cortex. Working with clay, a person develops tactile sensitivity, calms down, practices fine motor skills of hands. Do not forget about the development of imagination and memory during modeling from clay. That is why we started our program in this direction.

Purpose of Pottery: to build a complete process of pottery production, including the sale of the final product (products) on the market of Ukraine.
It gives special people:

  • the opportunity to feel creatively fulfilled, needed by society;
  • will occupy a long period of time (days-months) with interesting, productive work to your heart's content;
  • drive away sorrow, sadness, obsession with psychological and physical problems;
  • the possibility of closer communication with people on more interesting topics related to general professional activity;
  • constant learning of new products of this profession from the leading masters of this field in Ukraine;
  • the opportunity to realize the dream of "travel" in exchange for round-the-clock communication in four walls with your family;
  • the opportunity to "give" your loved ones some free personal time for rest;
  • the opportunity to independently earn money to adequately satisfy one's own needs, and in the future to help other similar people in the realization of their creative abilities.

Along with the launch of this direction, the road to an independent life opens for "special" people, where they will become masters of their own destiny. The "Archangel of Light" Foundation strives to help people with special needs understand all the intricacies of pottery and realize their dreams!
