"Famous and historical trees of Ukraine"
Two 1000-year-old oak trees of Taras Shevchenko (Cherka region, Zvenigorod district, Budyshche village). It grows in the apple orchard of the Shevchenkiv Agricultural College (the former estate of Mr. Engelhardt). The oaks are associated with the name of the great Kobzar, who served as a Cossack for Mr. P.V. Engelhardt in this village.
"Budyschansky Dub Shevchenko 1" and "Budyschansky Dub Shevchenko 2" are among the most powerful trees on the territory of Ukraine. In the All-Ukrainian competition "National Tree of Ukraine", which was held by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Ukraine in 2010, they won second place in the "Memorial Tree of Ukraine" nomination.

According to the results of the survey of the condition of centuries-old historical trees - "Budyschansky Dub Shevchenko 1" and "Budyschansky Oak Shevchenko 2", which was carried out in previous years, the following conclusions and suggestions can be made:
A) along "Budyshchansky Dub Shevchenko 1":
The tree examined by us is "Budyschansky Dub Shevchenko 1", the botanical name of which is an oak (Quercus robur L.), which is about 1,000 years old and is in an unsatisfactory condition. It has a well-developed crown, but due to damage to the skeletal branches, it has an asymmetrical shape, periodic flowering and fruiting are observed. At the same time, the tree is severely damaged and requires urgent treatment and rehabilitation measures using modern methods of arboriculture.
B) along "Budyshchansky Dub Shevchenko 2":
The tree examined by us is "Budyschansky Dub Shevchenka 2", the botanical name of which is the common oak (Quercus robur L.), which is about 1,000 years old and is in satisfactory condition. It has a well-developed crown, periodic flowering and fruiting are observed. At the same time, the tree has numerous injuries and requires urgent treatment and rehabilitation measures using modern methods of arboriculture.
