Ukrainians showed an extraordinary willingness to help, including financially. But, unfortunately, there are those who use this opportunity for their own purposes. In order to counter fraudulent actions, the Federal Security Service, together with the Department of Social Communications of the KMDA and Denis Osmolovsky, director of the Unified Legal Assistance Service, is implementing a project #charity_without_fraud.
Its goal is to teach how to correctly identify fraudsters masquerading as charity collectors, and to tell how to donate responsibly.
How to check a volunteer who collects charitable donations? Ask about:
- Charitable fund number in the Unified State Register (EDRPOU)
- What is the aid for? There must be data of the person who needs help or a specific need
- Where can I see fundraising reports?
- A phone number where you can contact the foundation's management to clarify the details of fundraising.
